Have you ever dreamed of putting your destiny into your own hands? Or have you imagined that you could earn commission on a brand-name or niche product just by placing a link on your website or in your email?

If you have, you may need to attempt affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is essentially a website network. It is a modern variation of the practice of paying finders’ fees for introducing unused clients to a business.

If you choose the affiliate alley, you don’t even need a web site of your own. There are companies all over the Internet who will provide you a release web site just to sell for them as an affiliate. Others might charge you a tiny set up fee, but more frequently than not it is less than a hundred dollars or so.

Nowadays, affiliate marketing is primarily conducted online as the number of people surfing the Internet for what they want is growing exponentially. It is a popular method of promoting web business in which an affiliate is rewarded for driving traffic (visitor, subscriber or customer) to merchants’ websites through his efforts.

Commission might be made depending on a certain value of registrants (pay per lead), sale (pay per sale), or any combination. Simply put, it’s about paying people money for helping merchants sell products.

Let’s say you created a website dedicated to promoting computer repair services/consultations and reaching out to potential customers. While your service is basically fixing PC problems, you notice that your clients also need registry cleaner utilities for the maintenance of their computers.

In this case, affiliate marketing could implicate contacting software developers selling registry fix or repair products, posting links to their sites on your website, and collecting a percentage of profit for each purchase those companies receive.

In the long run, you can exchange links or sign contracts with the companies you’re affiliated with. When someone browsing for computer maintenance or repair service on their websites clicks the link to your website and then decides to contact you for a consultation, the website that sends business your way will then receive commission.

In fact, you are not required to have your own business as far as affiliate marketing is concerned. You can make a living selling any products lacking having to take orders or maintain your inventory.

If you would try your luck as an affiliate marketer, I’d suggest you to visit ClickBank. ClickBank is an affiliate network, but not just any affiliate network. Unlike other networks which run various types of offers from different merchants (such as email submits, ring tones, lead generation, etc.), ClickBank is a marketplace for digital products only and very easy to comprehend and use. And they have literally 1000′s of products to choose from.

The world wide web has proven it’s self to be the gold rush of the twenty first century. An increasing number of people from all walks of life and around the universe are joining in to stake their claims. Everything from bug collecting, household goods, electronics, music videos to hundred foot yachts are being bought and sold on line at hundreds of 1000s of transactions per minute.

There’s such a strong online demand for products and services that any person with the will to learn might make a great living from online sales. In many cases you don’t even need a web site . There are affiliate Internet marketing companies that will donate you a free web location just to sell for them. Others may charge a small set up fee but more often than not it’s less than a hundred dollars or so.

With a low to no cost start up, you have to inquire your self why then are so many folks not making any money on line? The solution is simple . NO WEB TRAFFIC! That’s right, some people are trying to be Internet business operators and they never learned how to improve web traffic to their sites.

Sadly this is a common dilemma with newbies on the Internet. Not only have they not learned how to improve web traffic, they’ve never had any to start with. This always results in failure.

A many of these exited online start ups believe a professionally built web location will do the prank . So they go out and spend $100.00 to more than $5000 on the layout and design of their new website. Some xyz.com company lead them to believe that this one tool single-handedly will piece the clouds of on-line cash and some of it’s going to come purring downhill into their bank accounts. In case you’ve already tried then you know it never worked.

Now, sense targeted website traffic holds the key to on line success. How can you get some? Once you do, how do you grow it? The solution isn’t as tricky as one might think. Finding a bit of traffic here and there is generally just as easy as posting an advert on a release ad location . Learning how to improve web traffic to the point you’re earning a genuine on line income will take a deeper study into the topic. Still nearly anyone who can read and write has the skills to be successful in a brief period of time.

One of my own favorite methods for website traffic generation is article marketing. The primary reason it’s my personal best choice is because it’s release ! All I had to do was a bit of work. The conclusion resulted in constant release traffic to my website and sales. This will always be apart of my own marketing plans.

Sales, that’s what we all need from our efforts right? Other wise, why are we advertising? The internet my personal be the next gold rush of the century but If you don’t have a good product plus a sound marketing and advertising practice nobody will find you.

My advise to you is venture out and seek the knowledge on how to increase web traffic. Do whatever it takes to steer your way through the vast pages of content online that are relative to your product or service. This my sound like plenty work, fortunately it’s not.

The secret is getting started.

I believe that affiliate marketing is the easiest route to an online income in regard to the learning curve to master this field, as well as the many business aspects that don’t have to be dealt with due to the nature of this business model.

Fortunes have been created and are still being created in affiliate marketing today!

There are basically two options to make money as an affiliate.

  1. To build your own Website or blog, and sign up with affiliate programs related to your Website to advertise their products, or -
  2. To send traffic / visitors directly to an affiliate product.

To construct your own Website might not be for you, but isn’t nearly as hard to do as you might believe . Sending traffic directly to the product does work, but you really miss out a lot of opportunities to optimize your sales.

An easy way to set up your own Website is to use a WordPress blog. WordPress is easy to run , has a lot of free templates and plugin’s to meet nearly any needs.

There is no perfect sure-win get-rich-quick scheme or formula in affiliate marketing; but using tried and tested ways to market your affiliate products can be of great help . With your own Website or blog, you’re able to ”catch” your visitors email addresses to your own mailing list. As the visitor signs up, he is directed to the business site, while you increase your highly targeted mailing list.

One thing to retain in mind when getting started: Start with one product. Affiliate marketing is an easy way to earn money, but if you do it wrong, you might never make more than just to cover your Internet connection and telephone bill each month.

Most affiliate marketers today are facing the problem of not knowing which particular affiliate products to market due to the fact that there are lots of niche affiliate programs to select from.

There are also a lot of companies to sign up with offering affiliate programs. Some of the most popular are Commission Junction, TradeDoubler, PayDotCom and ClickBank. As a beginner I would prefer ClickBank as they are very easy to comprehend and use.

As an affiliate marketer, it is absolutely important for you to actually get into the mind of the customers of your niche. You need to know what they talk about, how they talk about it, what they are most concerned about, what type of products they want to purchase.

ClickBank has a marketplace and you ought to easily be able to discover a category and product of your interest. The best-selling ClickBank products usually have a high gravity reading. Naturally, many folks think that the higher the popularity rating, the better the product. When you refer a first-time visitor to the merchant’s location , you will always be credited to the sale, no matter how many others are also promoting the same merchant to the same prospect. Please notice that there is a 90-day refund rule for each product.

Just because you’re marketing ClickBank or any other affiliate products, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they will sell and you will rake in the money. Whilst this maybe true, it might be that the product you’ve chosen to market, do not provide decent worth or the niche you’re targeting isn’t really profitable.

Over the years, I have perfected my personal affiliate marketing technique, allowing me to discover hundreds of profitable products to promote in a matter of minutes. Today I am a high earning super affiliate and you might become one too.

Posting classified ads is a tremendous way to increase sales. Unfortunately, you cannot simply throw up any combination of words and hope to convince others to purchase what you are selling. People must be persuaded, subtly, to hand over their money. These are some tips to start you on the path of making quality classified ads.

1.Write it long, and then cut it down. The rough draft of the ad should essentially be a thorough and detailed description of all you know about the product or service. Having all of the details on paper will allow you to effectively choose what should stay and what should go. Ultimately, the ad should be short and targeted.

2.Be honest. Over-hyping your product or service will not lead to more sales, and it will lead to unsatisfied customers. In the proper context, including the faults of your product or service can actually increase sales, as it portrays honesty. Being honest about what you are selling is the best business move for both the short and long run. Plus, it is just the right thing to do.

3.Choose your words wisely. The ad should be simple and easy to read. The potential customer should have to put zero effort into understanding what is being sold to them. A confused reader will not become a customer.

4.Advertise frequently. Sometimes people need to see a product or hear a sales pitch more than once before deciding to become a buyer. Advertising often keeps the product on their minds. This will lead to an accumulation of sales.

5.Re-invest profits. As you start to make more and more profits from advertising, do not go out and spend all the money you made on fancy dinners. Instead, use at least some of the money to start investing in paid ads. If your ad is making money from a free placement, then use this extra money to pay for a premium ad with extra exposure. As well, there are several other sources of paid traffic that may be wise in which to invest.

Putting these tips into practice will ensure that you get the most out of advertisements for your product. If what you are selling is truly of high quality, then it should not take much more effort to convince someone to buy it.

While Google still dominates the Search Engine world, Bing has been making some quiet noise ever since its introduction, slowly increasing market share each month.  Some Internet experts feel Google’s soon to be released “Caffeine” search engine is in part a response to Bing.  If you search the net you’ll find some SEO professionals who have been able to test the impact of Caffeine are using Bing results as comparison benchmarks.  Let’s look at another significant, and perhaps more meaningful, Bing versus Google comparison.

Chitka Research:  July 2009

Online advertising network, Chitka, thought it might be interesting to compare click through rates (CTR) of Bing users versus Google users.  Bing was introduced with a massive media advertising campaign touting Bing as the “world’s first decision engine.”  What they found was stunning and surprising.  Users who arrive at a site via Bing click the ads placed on the site a full 50% per cent more than users arriving at the page via Google.   These numbers do not reflect the entire Internet, only sites serviced by Chitka.  Researchers attributed the results to the ad campaign which, with its extensive use of television ads, was reaching huge numbers of existing frequent Internet visitors, as well as less active Internet visitors.

Chitka Research:  December 2009

As all good researchers should do, the folks at Chitka decided to follow up and see how Bing was doing after the initial excitement of a new kid on the search engine block had faded away a bit.  Surprise, surprise; Bing users showing up at Chitka serviced sites are now clicking through the ads on those pages 75%more than Google users!  Some look at these numbers with a high degree of skepticism since there are so many more Google users than Bing users to start with.  Others are not so sure.  One could interpret these numbers to mean that, in terms of getting users to actually see your ads, aBing user may actually be more beneficial to you than a Google user.

Marketing Implications

Go to the Chitka web site and see the results of this study and you’ll find some more surprising results.  Both Ask users and AOL users actually click through more frequently than Bing users.  AOL users apparently click through at the highest rate — 2.5% versus Google’s .98%.  But again, AOL only has 1% of the overall search market.  So why bother with Bing and AOL when Google has 84% of the market?  One way to look at is that for every 100 Google driven visitors to your site, only one is going to click the ads while two and a half users out of 100 coming from AOL will click through.  The point of placing those ads is for people to click on them.  Wouldn’t it make sense to invest a little effort into driving more AOL and Ask and Bing visitors to your sites?  In today’s Internet world Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has really evolved to Google Engine Optimization.

If you’re involved in SEO in any way you probably know about long tail keyword research.  In a classic bell curve distribution of keywords, the shorter generic phrases dominate the middle but in the “long tail” of the distribution there are many combinations of keywords which, while entered less frequently, yield a user much more likely to click through and convert.  Researchers estimate click through from long tail searches as high as 200%!  Many SEO professionals are getting into optimizing sites for long tail keywords since that kind of conversion leads to better overall return on investment.  Wouldn’t it also make sense to optimize for search engines like AOL, ASK, and Bing since their users have higher conversion rates as well?

SEO (search engine optimisation) is the method of improving the quality or amount of traffic to a website through unpaid means as opposed to paid advertising such as Google AdWords and is much easier to learn than it sounds!

Many people think that you need to have a marketing background or be able to read HTML to succeed in the SEO world – this isn’t true.

SEO is not a dark art or a complicated skill. Once you break it down there is just one important rule to remember – relevance.

Search engine optimisation is often divided into two parts – on page and off page. On page SEO is things that you can change and manipulate on your website, and off page SEO is things you can do the same to away from your website. I don’t think that either is more important than the other but both are necessary to start creeping up the rankings.

Let’s look at on page SEO first. For me, this is the ‘bread and butter’ part of SEO. This is where relevance is at its most important. Imagine looking at a website of a company you had never heard of before, but only being able to see the text that appears on it. You can replicate this by going to http://www.asimplewebsite.co.uk/search-engine/web-page-optimization.htm and typing in your URL. This is how Google views your website.

Because of this, Google can only know what you tell it. Your on page SEO needs to tell the search engines about your website and what you sell or offer. Your keywords should appear on your website several times, in the page title, description and header tags – but remember not to keyword stuff, keep the user in mind. If lots of people find your website but all of them are put off by poor copy and design, there will be no one left to buy your product or service.

As for off page SEO; it is the part that shouts your website out to the world. Off page SEO is mostly concerned with building backlinks to your website. Backlinks are like votes, the more you get, the more your website is considered to be good or important.

It is not just quantity that determines your website rankings however, but quality as well. Backlinks from sites that search engines consider to be important are more valuable. How do you tell which are more important? Download the Google Toolbar at http://www.google.com/intl/en_uk/toolbar/ff/index.html. This gives you a Google Page Rank Tool. Google ranks each page it indexes out of 10; 10 being the most important. The Google Page Rank tool shows you the Page Rank (PR) of the page you are looking at, enabling you to see which pages are deemed to be more important.

The best backlinks to get are those that are from relevant blogs, websites and forums – places where potential customers are likely to look. So not only will your website be deemed more important by Google but relevant users will find you as well.

On page and off page SEO together, make sure that your website is relevant to the search terms you want to be found under, and then get the relevant people hearing about it.

There are of course many more ways of optimising your website, but these things I have touched upon are the basics. Once these are sorted, the rest becomes much easier.

If you think I have missed anything or have any other tips, feel free to comment on this article or contact me using the links below.

To be able to follow up is what drive sales, and as an Internet marketer, it is easily done, using an autoresponder system. But many people don’t know how to write the e-mail messages they need in to fill into the autoresponder in order to actually use this fantastic tool.

Don’t let that keep you from increased profits! To write powerful messages to increase profits, is not that hard if you just follow a few simple steps:

Address the Reader

Try to write as you talk, and make the reader feel like they are having a face-to-face conversation with you. Try using ’simple’ words as if you were talking to a colleague or a good friend. If you can get the reader to feel an acquaintance with you, the audience will pay a lot more attention to what you write.

Headline Creation

Many copywriters spend more time creating a catchy headline, than then do writing the rest of the copy. If your headline do not grab the prospects attention and pull him in immediately, the rest of your copy is most likely not to be read. The headline makes the difference if you prospect follow to the end. Most times I wait to create the headline until I have finished the copy.

Pull In the the Reader

First thing you have to convince your reader that your email is worth reading. Make your first sentence or two very catching. You could do that by making a bold statement. Try to appeal to your readers emotions, or write something funny or even ridiculous. Then tie the headline with the rest of your copy.

Present the Product

Once you’ve caught the reader’s attention, it is time to introduce your product or service for the prospect. Tell your reader what is the product your are trying to sell, and what does it do?

Keep the explanation very short and clear. Remember, people’s attention spans are pretty short today. Get to the point.

Your Product’s significance

Now directly target your prospect and clearly explain how your he or she will benefit from your product. Make this section ‘long’ and rich and give some examples of variety of the uses of what you try to sell. Keep in mid though it’s human nature for people to simply want to know “What can I gain here?” or “How can this solve my current problem.” It’s not so much about the features of your product it self, as about the benefits the product provide; comfort, status, wellness, success……….

Make the most out of this section to clearly explain how your targeted readers can benefit from your product.

Lead the Prospect to Make the Purchase

It might sound strange to you, but this step is really necessary. People must have clear instructions. Most times they won’t just figure out what to do next. Far to often people fail to make the purchase, even when they are genuinely interested. A clear call to action by telling the prospect exactly how to buy your product, cuts down on buyer ambivalence.

Don’t be to pushy, but seal the deal and tell the potential customer exactly how to purchase the product and to do it now.

Remember to end each follow up message with your own contact information, also to include a way for your reader to unsubscribe from your contact list.

If you keep this steps in mind when you are writing, you will get, as well as keep, your audience attention almost every time.

eMail MarketingEvery day when I open my email, I find my inbox stuffed with promotion emails. All of them is competing for my attention and my money. Do I have to tell you, that out of the 50-80 promotion emails I get every single day, I only open a small handful. And those very few lucky ones, I usually only open and skim the content for a few seconds. – Then I hit the ‘delete’ button.

But once in a while it happens, an advertising email slips through and grabs my attention. It literally forces me to read it all the way through, and some are so compelling that I actually click the included link and buy whatever it is promoting.

What is it that makes the difference between a killer promotion email and a ’3 seconds – delete’ email?

I have listed a few ideas for you below:

1. Do not try to sell you reader anything in the opening of your message!

Your reader couldn’t care less of you or your products or services. He cares only of himself, his fears, desires, or his goals.

The only way you can get your readers full attention, is to quickly convince him, that by reading your email, you are going to give him answers on;

  • How to solve his problem(s).
  • How to make money.
  • How to save money.
  • How to eliminate his worries.
  • I’m sure you get the idea ….

You have to understand, you need to make your email relevant to your reader, and you have to show the relevancy to the readers needs fast.

2. Play on the readers curiosity.

The next important aspect to learn, is how to get your reader curious.

Curiosity is a very strong force to keep your readers attention. Try think about it; how many times haven’t you clicked your way through to a website, to get the full story, because the email just woke your curiosity, but didn’t tell the whole thing?

Write your email in a way to get your readers curious to learn more, though keeping your message in line with things that matters to your reader.

3. Do not mislead your readers!

I am personally sick and tired of those emails, with subject lines misleading me to believe some real person is trying to get in contact with me.

Subject lines as ”Where are you?”, ”Why don’t you answer my emails?” or “you have received a payment” are sure curiosity grabbing, but the email is trying to sell me something, those subject lines sure is the wrong way to catch my attention. Not only that; they are actually also a violation of the can spam laws.

Use your subject line to give the reader an idea of the content of the email, but not enough information for them to know what exactly inside the email.

4. Do not try to hard sell in your emails.

This is perhaps the biggest mistakes that new marketers do.

When you write an email promotion, try get in the chair of the receiver.

How likely is it that you would read an email to the end if the first paragraph looked like:

”Claim Your FREE V.I.P Membership to this Amazing Marketing Course worth $197 Today. Limited Number of No Cost Memberships available.”

Not very likely, – right? That kind of writing belongs into a sales letter or the sales page it self. Not in an email!

You should try to be conversing with your reader. Try something like this instead:

”Hello (name), I’ve just got hold of an amazing new Internet Marketing Course from ………
It’s so good that I had to tell you about it so that you don’t miss out on it.
Here is just some of what’s included: ……”

You see, by keeping the email in a conversational style, your email will never be considered plain by your readers.

5. State your case.

Now that you have got your readers full attention, it is time to tell him what you got to offer, but keep in mind why you got his attention in the first place. Keep reminding the reader that what you are offering will help him reach his goals.

You have to stay focused on what made your email relevant the reader in the first place. Remember, he doesn’t care about your product, but only about his own needs, worries and desires.

Write about how your product will benefit your prospect, not about the product it self.

6. Call to action.

You get no benefit from an email promotion if you do not get the reader to take action. Tell the reader what you want him to do, but just as important; tell him to do it right now!

Most people, my self included, will put most everything off until later if not having a compelling reason to act immediately. And an email promotion put off for later, is most likely never to be seen again!

That is why it is imperative giving your reader a reason to act now!

You can do so by telling, you are only selling limited copies, taking down the sales page on a certain date, you are going to raising the price, or perhaps going to remove a temporarily bonus.

You can use almost anything, but do use some kind of stress factor that makes the reader wish to act now!
