WebBizInsider.com – Review

Posted by Michael

Please read this article before joining this, or any other traffic exchange program.

— o —

This program has been online since 2001, and I have been member since then.

WebBizInsider, run by Matthew Graves, is a very simple but effective program without any of the hype else often seen from this kind of programs.

The program has a very high reputation among traffic exchange surfers, and in my opinion it is one of the best, if not the best, traffic exchange program to be found.

The membership has a free and a premium level. Free members earn 1 credit for each website they visit while premium members gets 2 credits.

By referring new members, you can build a downline up to 6 levels deep, earning you credits when they surf. Also, once a week you can send a promotional email to your downline.

WebBizInsider also offer text ads and banner advertising.

All members can earn credits:

  • By surfing
  • By bonuses
  • By showing your referral page
  • By signing up new members
  • Through the surfing of an eventual downline
  • By reading credits mails, and
  • By winning contests

Benefits by upgrading to premium member:

  • Receive 2 credits for each page visited
  • Receive 5 free downline members each month
  • Email downline 6 levels down (free members only 1 level)
  • Receive 2880 free credits each month
  • Receive 10.000 free banner credits each month

Extra credits can be bought by both free and upgraded members.

Unlike any other traffic exchange programs that I’m aware of, bonus credits are predictable and added automatically until you pass surfing 500 pages a day.

The design is simple to the dull but functional and efficient. And that’s really the only thing that matters in this context.

With a 15 seconds timer and +140.000 members in the database, there is a good change that your site will be seen, – and be seen by unique visitors.

My experience from testing is, that the credit flow is very high, but also that (for a traffic exchange) I receive both quality traffic and far better results than from any other exchange program.

I am upgraded at just two traffic exchanges – and this is number one of the two.

You can join WebBizInsider by clicking here or at the banner below.

Bannage

Posted by Michael

As more and more people find it worth the while to devote their short time here on earth, to develop programs and scripts to automatically add spammy comments on your WordPress blog, I highly recommend installing a few, but very effective, spam catching plugin’s.

The most important, in my opinion, is ”Akismet” followed by ”Bad Behavior” and to complete the collection also ”Bannage”developed by Justin Shattuck.

For some reason, so far WordPress haven’t incorporated any useful way to ban commenter’s by either IP, username or email address. It might be added in a later version, but for now you are left on your own and the mercy of plugin developers.

If you have fallen victim to spam comment entries, with ”Bannage” you can attempt to prevent more spam coming in by blocking specific URI’s, IP addresses, email addresses, or usernames.

Because I run both ”Akismet” and ”Bad Behavior”, it is not very often ”Bannage” come into use. But even “Akismet” and “Bad Behavior” doesn’t always catch 100% of the spam and then ”Bannage” becomes very useful.

Bad Behavior

Posted by Michael

Akismet blocked 251 spam messages from my Word...

Bad Behavior complements other link spam solutions like Akismet by acting as a gatekeeper, preventing spammers from ever delivering their junk, and in many cases, from ever reading your site in the first place.

This keeps your site’s load down, makes your site logs cleaner, and can help prevent denial of service conditions caused by spammers.

Bad Behavior is working in a completely different way than any ohter spam solution out there. Instead of merely looking at the content of potential spam, Bad Behavior analyzes the delivery method as well as the software the spammer is using.

This way, Bad Behavior stop spam attacks even when nobody has ever seen the particular spam before.

Bad Behavior is designed to work alongside existing spam prevention services to increase their effectiveness and efficiency. Whenever possible, you should run it in combination with a more traditional spam prevention service like Akismet.

Installing and configuring Bad Behavior on WordPress is very simple and takes only a few minutes. No configuration at all is needed. Simply turn it on and stop worrying about spam!

Akismet

Matt Mullenweg, inventor of the WordPress blog...

Akismet, developed by Matt Mullenweg the founder of Automattic, Inc., is perhaps the most important plug-in on my blogs.

Spam comments is a huge problem with a WordPress blog, but luckily akismet come preinstalled with WordPress. All you have to do, is to activate it and insert your WordPress API. Do not share your API; – It’s like a password.

The names is a contraction of Automatic Kismet, and by installing it, you should never have to worry about spam again. The only other spam plugin you might need is Bad Behavior. In fact you should disable any other spam plugins you might use, as they most likely will reduce the effectiveness of Akismet.

When a new comment is submitted to your site, it is submitted to the Akismet web service as well. Here it will be run through hundreds of tests and return a positive or negative result.

When the plugin detects a spam comment, it saves it in your database for 15 days, so that you have the chance to check it out manually.

The beauty of the system is that it needs no maintenance at all. Just plug it in, insert your WordPress API and you are ready to go.

The plug-in works against spam in any language, so don’t worry if your site is in a non-English language.

Akismet comes with both a license for personal as well as for commercial use. The personal license is free, the commercial comes with a very modest fee.

To download Akismet, – go here: http://akismet.com/download/

The Income Cloner Scam

Posted by Michael

Product Overall

From The Free Dictionary:
scam:
n. a fraudulent business scheme; a swindle.
tr.v. scammed, scam·ming, scams ; To defraud; swindle.

Today the word scam is being used in so many very different situations, the original meaning of the word has almost been forgotten.

So many opportunities and programs, even lucrative, professional and very legal companies has often seen them selves cried out as being scams.

Just because you do not make it, for what ever reason, it doesn’t necessarily mean the opportunity is a scam. It might very well be you, not complying to the concept, or not fully understanding what you have signed up to.

Of the same reasons I am personally very careful not to call wolf, before I actually have seen one with my own eyes.

Not many others seems to do so, but my business concept is to actually buy the product, before I write the review. And trust me; I’ve seen plenty to judge the good from bad and the ugly.

Recently I was presented to a program called Income Cloner by Charles Ryder. From a very reasonable sales page he offer you his first of 12 DVD’s for ‘free’. You only have to pay the shipping costs.

With that said:

Do Not Buy Income Cloner by Charles Ryder !

I did and to call this ‘product’ a scam is not to much. Never before have I paid that much money for such outright piece of crap.

From his website, Charles Ryder offer you a free 1 hour DVD on which he claims to have put together his secrets on getting rich on the Internet. By signing up, you are automatically signed into his so called ‘Millionaire DVD of the Month Club’, that are supposed to reveal to you how you can make gazillions on the Internet in less than a year.

This is where he’s making the money, as this membership comes with a $97 monthly fee to be charged from your credit card before the second DVD are to be shipped.

Pay close attention to this: You are automatically enrolled into this club, and your credit card is automatically lifted for $97 every month if you do not immediately cancel your subscription.

As I do not judge a product based upon a free sample, I stayed with his so called ‘exclusive’ club for 4 month, far long enough to find out what totally crap this man try to sell you.

The ‘product’ comes with a 30 days money back guarantee. So sadly, I also stayed  far to long to try to get my money back.

As a member of his ‘exclusive’ club, all I have ever received has been tons of the exact same sale offers as I have received from all other marketers. I say, that’s very exclusive or..? Oh yes, and of course the monthly DVD, where he is supposed to be my personal mentor and reveal secrets that should make me able to make thousands within a year.

Let me tell you, that the content of the first DVD (the free one, remember?) was so dreadful boring that I fell a sleep several time during the show. I had to start all over several times to ensure my self, it was not me being very tired, but the DVD actually being totally junk.

When I finally had seen it through without falling a sleep, I decided to give the club a try for the next month DVD. After all I got the first one for free, and the content could be meant as a sort of appetizer. To me it sure wasn’t, but never the less, I chose to give the man a second chance.

A month past by before the next DVD showed up in my mailbox. I have to say, I wasn’t to eager to see it, so I forgot about it almost a full month. If I had watched it through when it arrived, it might had saved me for an other $97. Sadly I didn’t, because the content of the next 2 DVD’s I received was no different from the first. Absolutely crap.

At the DVD’s Charles Ryder pose in front of a camera, sitting (if you can call that to sit) in a chair in what seems to be a very cheap hotel room, with very bad light conditions. His ‘mentoring’ is what I would call babbling noise. He do nothing but glorifying him self and even constantly repeating him self over and over and……

I have no doubt that Charles can make very good money of this stunt of his. The marketing behind the ‘product’ is very professionally and clever set up. But when it comes to learn you how to clone him, the $97 a month ‘course’ is nothing but an outright scam.

If there’s anything funny about this ‘product’, it might be that Charles seems to be well aware, it is not worth the money. When I finally got enough and tried to cancel my membership (you have to do so by phone or snail mail), I was immediately offered the whole 12 month course for only $27 a month. That’s $70 a month off the price. I must say! I’m stunned!

I do never again buy anything from Charles Ryder!

Update: 30-07-2009

This is not a scam, but the owner has given up, and set the site for sale.

The future of the program is unpredictable, and I will no longer recommend anyone to join.

Michael

*********************************************************************

What I am about to do, I thought never would had happen.

I had never thought, you should read a review from my hand about a program, that should be categorized only as a cycler, hyip, or a gifting program.

Under normal circumstances it would be most unlikely, that I even spend time visiting such site, but I was introduced by a friend, who asked me my honest take on if he had got scammed (once again).

Read on and decide if he is or not your self, because honestly I can’t make a decision.

‘Birthday Bonus Club’ is set up as a WordPress blog. Nothing wrong in that; it’s fast, easy, cheap, and the site can be very professionally designed. Lots of professional and very serious businesses do set up their home pages in this manner, and in fact most of my sites are based on either Joomla or WordPress scripts.

Now; the design of ‘Birthday Bonus Club’ is absolutely alright, though I believe I have seen the theme used times before, and I am pretty sure they have got it for free. Nothing wrong with that either. Why pay for something if you can get your needs covered for free? I don’t, and again you will find that I too, make use of free themes if you visit my blog, though I have made some changes to the original template.

Ok – so far no real red flags waving, but what is the program it self all about?

Basically it is a gifting program. You join and hope for (some really seriously believe) strangers to pay you a certain amount of money over time. The likeness of a pyramid scheme / scam is not hard to see, and in most countries, if not all, both gifting as well as pyramid programs are illegal with a very good reason.

What makes ‘Birthday Bonus Club’ standing out from the outright scams, and most likely also makes it legal most places, is that it doesn’t cost you anything to join.

You read that right – it is free to join!

Of course there must be money involved somewhere or where is the ‘bonus’ part of the birthday? Why run such a website if not to earn money somehow?

First off – you are never to pay anything to ‘Birthday Bonus Club’ directly. The owners will make their income from advertising, eventually bought by you and otherwise. So that’s where the owners expect to make their money – and lure me if not they participate in the program at top positions too.
Once again, nothing wrong in that; why shouldn’t they? – It’s their program.
I know for sure I would if in their shoes.

Now; what’s in it then for the general public – my friend from before, you and I?

Well after reading the program through, for I don’t know how many times, I decided this to be
such a cozy and funny idea, I just couldn’t resist to participate my self.

Because that is exactly what it is: A cozy and funny idea, but with the potential giving you an unexpected and very nice surprise at your birthday. How would you like lots of people you don’t even know, to pay you a small gift at your Birthday? You see; that is what ‘Birthday Bonus Club’ is all about.

You join the program for free, but every now and then, on their birthday, you are asked to pay some other members between $2 and $5 as a present. The most you will have to pay in total is $60 a year.

This is because of the nature of the program. When you join, you are placed in a forced matrix (3×9), and the members you will be asked to pay a birthday present, is limited to no more than 12 people (only once a year of course – at their birthday – max. $5 x 12 = max. $60).

You are not even required to donate to any member ever.

When you are asked to give a donation to somebody on their birthday, you are given a ranking on how well you give on other people’s Birthdays. At your birthday, the system behind the program will determine according to your ranking, how much other members should give to you (between $2 and $5).

It’s like that very important saying: ‘Give, and it shall be given unto you’. If for some reason you can not afford or just will not pay the birthday child, you can do so 3 times. The fourth time you will be dropped from the ‘Birthday Bonus Club’.

Of course any such program will work only, if everyone do their best to get new members. The goal for any member would therefor be to refer at least a couple of people. The more people in your downline, the more people will be giving you a birthday present.

It shouldn’t be hard though to make people join to a free program, but as the club is build on a forced matrix, even though you are not able to convince anyone at all ‘Birthday Bonus Club’ is worth joining, you are likely to have a downline build for you over time. That’s because of ‘spill over’ coming from your upline from time to time. One just has to remember not to rely on ‘spill over’ as if everyone did that, the organization would stall immediately.

Your potential birthday bonus is more than $140,000 a year, and I find that to be a very nice present indeed. But I know that even if I got only a few bucks, I personally would still find it to have been a lot of fun just to have participated.

As a last remark; the club has an active forum, where support of all kind is available. By reading just a few postings, I recognise an admin that take good care of his members and the club.

For (most likely) the only time ever, I recommend a ‘gifting’ program.

As mentioned earlier, I have chosen to participate in this ‘free to join’ program my self, and I consider it as a fun and cozy lottery ticket. If you do not consider joining right away too, at least have a closer look at ‘Birthday Bonus Club’. I find it entertaining and who knows; perhaps even able to make my next birthday a very profitable one.
